Default Fresh paint job!

Just got my car painted. took a trip down to florida and had our family friend who owns a body shop do the paint. In case anyone didnt see the "before" photos my clear coat was chipped on both front quarter panels and my cobra hood. which i replaced with a gt hood. I also replaced my v6 bumper with a gt rear bumper because im going to add dual's here soon and this bumper doesn't have the "mustang" cut out. I got the quarter panels, new hood, hood scoop, rear bumper, spoiler, and re-pinstriped all painted and clear coated for $400 so not a bad deal at all!I will be adding some more pics soon. Incase anyone is interested the old bumper and hood are for sale. lmk what you think thanks! also I now need a new sig with one of my pics if someone could make any one of the pics smaller to fit the sig that'd be great. id do it but my computer is old and slow and freezes up when i try to do it.

Looks good.

What did he do for the paint?
Did he just knock the clear down, wetsand and reclear or did he sand, prime and paint?

$400 is a damn good price if the quality is good, a lot of us have to put an extra "0" at the end of that figure to see quality work.

He sandblasted it then prime and paint. I couldn't be happier with the quality of work though it looks like a brand new car and is so smooth. Everyone thats seen it so far couldn't believe he did it for that price. I got quotes from a other places and they were anywhere from $700 to $1k to get it done. He thought he told me $600 to get it done but he was mistaken so just to clear things up I bought him an 18 pack of bud light bottles and he was cool with doin it for $400 lol. He also factored that I was driving 1k miles just to come get it done.

two words of personal opinion...

One, I would have personally gotten rid of those door guards if I was going to get the car painted...

And two, I think it's time for a siggy update =)

Looks great man! I've always loved that color

You can request sig here on the forums in the Chop Shop area. they do it for free and make amazing work. just be sure to ask nicely and thank them. Someone there made mine. i just told them i'd like to keep it simple, use grey colors, and provided a pic of my car and said i love sci-fi. The guy saw my avatar was Atlantis and waala Love it.

I just noticed. your car was orange before and a red orange after. I like the red orange better too.
