Default lt headers

So I decided I'm finally gonna get some LT headers. I'm going with the pacesetter black LT's without the EGR. Will I need a tuner or anything else besides the headers?

Since you're using pacesetter and not MAC, you're gonna need a lot of stuff. Tuner, custom h-pipe, catback, cats, egr delete, and an inspection station that will pass you.

You can order MAC's, ceramic coated, a MAC h-pipe, and catback, and retain your O2's and EGR, no tuner needed. You just have to get 2 cats welded into the h-pipe.

Running no cats will sound terrible.

As much as I like Pacesetter as a company for their customer service and other products, their headers are not the best option in this case.

If you got some sort of a crazy deal you could always weld an EGR bung in (rear pass side primary if I remember right) and make your own midpipe, otherwise I would stick with MAC.

Hey ryan, I was told that you have to get a tune because the 02's are moved downstream and the car won't run right....?

You can either turn off the rear two (Tune.)
Or you can put a couple high flows in and weld an O2 bung after the cats so you have one before and after the cats. (No Tune.)

d.girardi Pacesetter makes a LT with EGR fittings to fit your 04', why not go for that and get the custom midpipe made? You will have to find a shop that is willing to do it to factory spec so you can use GT takeoffs. A lot of shops will want to set it up their own way keeping you from being able to easily swap catbacks out.

Based on price and headache the MAC's are still a better choice.
