ok so im thinking of buying a bbk 75mm throttle body on here and the guy said it might not fit my car ..cause its for a v8 and the biggest aftermarket they make is 65mm for a v6... i am going to get the windstar kit and this would be nice a the throttle body for it... does anyone know if it will work?

Also my traction control light is going of and on at its own disgression and usually when its stuck on the abs light is on .. any help is appreaciated

As far as I know, the 70mm TB is about as big as you can go on the windstar when filling the O-Ring and opening the port up. The only 70mm setup I have seen was with a Professional Products TB for the GT.

Stock is 62mm (When I measured the rear edge2edge) so you have more than enough for a while unless you go with a ProCharger or Turbo setup, then a 70mm would be good.

Ported heads, ported lower, LT headers, a good cam, The windstar intake and a tune would do well from a larger TB and MAF though.

Yup, thats what I already said, in so many words. There are much better things to spend the money on first (several times over) before getting a larger TB.
Of course though for FI or highly modded NA's its part of the puzzle.

Yeah, there are a lot more restrictive parts of the intake then the TB. A CAI a
obviously is first then a nice port and polish would be way better then a TB.

If you upgrade the TB before you actually need it all it does is the same thing as WOT except at 75% or so.

Whelp, unless you can get a very cheap line on a CAI there is a way to use your stock intake and do EXACTLY the same thing but without heatsoak that the metal ones have problems with.

Remove the filter housing, pull the rubber tube off (the one that goes through the fender)
Now put a K&N Filter in there.

BAM! Instant OEM CAI.

It with give you EXACTLY the same results but for the price of a K&N filter or other cone filter that fits.

But you get smoother bends on a cold air intake vs the stock rubber garble.

Yeah, but I got my K&N for $20, I dont want to spend more on a CAI.
For those working on a budget with minor bolt ons or this being the first, its cheap and easy.

Actually with the metal CAI's (Experiance from my MAC) is that they tend to build rust up inside to a pretty thick scale as they arent coated inside at all.

Something I wish Ford would have done was to have a hard inner plastic lining on the V6 intake like they do on Cobra and Mach 1 intake.

Thats a really good idea for a cheap CAI and it has a factory look which is cool. Like 10 hidden HP
