So I was bouncing back and forth between selling my stang and getting a new 5.0 and decided to forget about the new 5.0... as much as Id like to have a new car with a ton of power out of the box.. I'm on my last few car payments and I just don't want another $350+ payment each month again.. lol..

So ive chosen the route with my 3.9 and build it up for the unique status. I just bought some new fr500 black chrome rims to replace the bullits so im going all out now. For anyone in the area of Western MA or in the surrounding states I'm interested in building up the 3.9 to a 4.3 then putting either a procharger or a turbo kit in afterwards. I've put a decent amount of work into the car as you guys remember me before, and I figured id just finish it off and enjoy it while I can. The motor has 88k on it, not beaten on but deffently has been played with don't get me wrong. My question also is should I look into just getting a newer engine and replace the one I have in now or just work with it. Need some advice.

I plan on getting the suspension stuff taken care of before the 4.3 build so thats nothing to think about there unless you got some opinions on that as well.

 

88k isnt too bad to build on. a few members have put on superchargers on their cars with over 100k on them.

This spring i'm doing a massive engine clean, any tips on the easiest way of doing this?

 

Just bought a used 03 cobra front bumper with lights, bezels and chin spoiler, TORCH RED for $400 bucks! SCORE!

 

For the engine cleaning cover the alt and spray with some sort of cleaner, get a pressure washer and have fun just let everything dry before you start it up again.

For the 4.3L build i have a build thread in general about my current 4.2L build that is going on.

 

Well good luck with the build. Im sure there are a few guys around here (myself included) that want to see tons of pics.

i thought you had the fr500s on already damn it! lol. i do like that raised thing on the hood (not shaker, the other thing) looks good.

are you going to get the stripes put the termi bumper?

 

That's the opaque that comes black with the shaker system.

I haven't decided whether if i want to leave it not striped or get some put on. Depends if I find a torch red GT bumper now.. lol

I gotta get an H-Pipe with highflow catts on it to pass MA's ridiculous inspection standards... I think my MAF Sensor is starting to give me trouble though.. anyone get random on-off streaks where the light is on for a couple days then off for a week or two then back on... Ive brought it to get tested and it comes up with something with the MAF sensor just seeing if it sounds about right and if someone knows the fix.
