Default Exhaust, p0420, longtubes, cats

long story short, my passenger side cat seems to be clogged after extended misfires, im thinking that i should just cut the cats off, put on high flow cats, install long tubes, and call it a day?

im open to any suggestions, its my daily driver, so i need to make a decision soon, my exhaust right now is stock headers and cats, to divorced 2.5" piping thrush welds tips out the back

You could just knock the cats out for the time being.

Place order for long tubes and such then install. That way you don't have much down time for your DD.

Are you going to be able to make it to the Mustang meeting tomorrow? Hope So.
mustangsunlimited.com and Summit Racing have most of the things we need to work on the exhaust. Long tube headers come steel and ceramic coated but the price difference is huge. You have Pacesetter and MAC to choose from. MAC doesn't always have them to provide so those things will need checked into. Comparing prices, it seems cheaper to just get long tube headers and put cats on them. If you keep your stock headers and get full length catted mid-pipes, they are expensive too. LT headers are a good option. lots of options though. exhaust systems are fun to plan out and do.
Brent has a great option short term.

I've been thinking about doing my exhaust too. ceramic coated MAC longtubes, MAC H-pipe, 2 Flowmaster Super 44's. I haven't even thought about Cats yet :/

You can check my sound clips in my sig for MAC longtubes , MAC H-pipe, and MAC mufflers and NO cats at all to see if you like them.

quick recap

cats

car threw cel p0420

catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1

after pushing the car hard later that week, the car started to sputter, it was kind of sluggish, the next morning drove it, while getting onto the highway it was hard to get to 70 mph, and then at the same rpms, the speed began to drop and slowly dropped to 65 mph and more rpms did not increase the speed, it was stuck at that and very minimally decreasing more. got a smell in the car, but not sure if its just from my new catback breaking in? car isn't throwing the code now so i'm confused?

on idle almost all the sound is coming from the left tail pipe (connected to bank 2) the right tip is quiet and muffled like, it feels like a soft exhale whereas the other tip air comes in waves, and is loud/hard

i've stopped driving the car in order to try and eliminate the possibility of anything else going wrong, is it okay to take out? i hear driving on a bad cat can be very bad.

isn't it a clogged cat? i had some really bad misfiring a few weeks ago that has to be the cause of this if thats the problem

feedback is greatly appreciated.

Love them. Best sounding exhaust I ever had. Beats the crap out of the ones I had on two Trans-Ams in the past

There is only 1 thing I'd change...thats high revs in first gear. If I rev past 4k in first then it gets raspy. I don't care for that but I deal with it. Strange thing is that even at the same rpm in 2nd gear it doesn't go raspy. It just sound's f'n sweet in 2nd. Smooth clean sound and the air filter Im guessing causes a turbo whistle hehe. I don't understand why two gears at the same revs can sound so different. I drive in 2nd gear WAY too much lol.

But Im super happy. I wouldn't change for any exhaust I've heard for a V6. And Ive heard a ton. I'd trade for a V8 sound
