I have a 95 3.8l and i want more power i was thinking about a cold airintake a throttle bodie extender and a new chip. I was also wondering a bout a stroker kit. Could somebody explain to me what they are and what they do.

shoulda just got a GT, saved your self some time

 

Insurance is a big reason why someone may not want a GT. I love em, but I'd rather spend the extra $500-1300 bucks a year on something else, like a vacation to vegas or a new BBQ for the back yard. Plus with my daughter almost driving they (the insurance) want to rape me as it is because she's a liability. I'll deck out my V6 before I buy a GT...unless I kick her out of the house [8D]

Also gas mileage...no V8 stock to stock is going to be as efficient as a V6.

 

Personal opinion I would do a motor swap to a 99 or newer V6 I use to have a 96 3.8 and that actually came with more horseys and tq than yours has stock I thought it was the slowest car ever my friends with cav's were beating me even when I had exhaust for it not that exhaust does that much but I was kinda pi**ed bout that so I sold it and I got a 00 3.8 it is way quicker than those older 3.8's so that is my opinion swap it to a diff motor but I would never sell my V6 I love it to much I am just gonna build the hell out of mine before I buy a GT.

 

hahaha. in my case it was the complete opposite. i was gonna get a v6, then i looked up insurance. insurance on a v6 was 1800/yr, the gt was 1600/yr. figure that one out.

 

why just get a V8? what fun is it when a v8 beats a v8? but when a V6 smokes a V8....oh yeah what a feeling [sm=badbadbad.gif]

 

yea the 99+ v6s have about 50 more hp than the 94-98s, i believe, maybe even more...it makes me mad they didnt give the v6s the extra hp just a year earlier so my 98 wouldnt be so slow [:@]
