Where do you live? Im in Massachussetts paying $1300 a year for my 6er, and Were one of the most expensive states. It was alot more for me to get a GT.

And for all GT owners, How come you only bought a GT and not a Cobra?
I live in mass too... who r u with? because i went to my agent and they said i would be paying the same amount with a gt and i have a v6 currently... and also i pay 1992 a year without collision, im 17 and have a perfect drivin record... so far...

i live in va. i bought a GT because a cobra was too expensive at the time. that and finding a brand new 04 cobra in august of 2004 is kind of hard. plus, i'm taking baby steps. had a v6, now a v8, now a supercharged v8. next, shall be a DOHC v8. mmmm...

My friend has an '03 Cobra and he has respect for v6's. why? Cause he's actually had his @ss handed to him by one. You can't get any more of a "real" mustang than a Cobra, and if a v6 can take it...then give it some obviously earned respect. There's potential in all mustangs regardless of the engine.

yeah, i think it's hilarious when a v6 takes out a big bad v8. especially a cobra. but, the ammount of money spent on that v6 to take out that cobra, they could have just bought the cobra.

still.. nothing beats that feeling of beating a "superior" car with an "inferior" car. i love the looks i got when i killed a vette with "just a GT".

Ever heard the saying the straw that broke the camel's back? Well my camel's back just broke. Why is it that just about everytime someone in this sub-forum (please note the name of it) asks for assistance in modifying his Mustang someone who owns a GT finds the need to reply back with something along the lines of....Don't waste your time get a V8 or, shoulda gotten a GT, or sell your car and get one with a V8 etc. etc. etc. This is a 6 cyl. and smaller engine sub-forum. If we wanted to know something about swaping a V8 or trading in for a GT we would have posted our message in the appropriate forum. YES 6ers are slower, YES it takes more money to make a 6 as fast as an eight (which isn't entirely true because not everyone buys Mustangs new, so getting a used 6 is much cheaper than a used GT which means there is more money left over for modifications etc.) YES we know that a V8 would make our Mustang faster. NO we don't need your feeble attempts at humor in your "helpful" suggestions. It really annoys me that some of the GT owners think they are somehow "better" than me because of the size of the engine. I've even heard some say that 6ers are crap because they aren't "real" Mustangs. Well if you want a real "something" you go back to that "something's" past correct? If i'm not mistaken the real Mustang was based on a boring econo car and was labeled a "secretary's car" by the famous Carrol Shelby. So based on that we V6 owners hold the title of "real" mustangs. Anyways do us a favor and help out by giving advice that's appropriate for this forum which is 6 Cyl (V6), 2.3, and Turbo. Thanks, have a nice day. I feel much better now so feel free to rip me apart as you see fit.
HERE, HERE!! If I wanted a V8...I woulda bought one. It's more of a challenge to get more moose poop from a V6! That plus I get better gas milage and better insurance rates than the V8's.
The GT'ers should stay in thier sub-forum and leave the 6rs alone! Just wait! I'm gonna take out a GT and LOVE it!!

Its funny how people agree with you on that in the V-6 forum, but if you type that in the GT forum you just get a bunch of ****.

As for, the amount of money it takes to beat a cobra, you could have just baught a cobra, yes that may be true, but a V-6 has 2 less cyl. so id rather see a 6er take a vette or cobra than a GT.
