Code:p0102
The car I just bought keeps tossing this code up, after checking out the sensor I noticed one of the two spring loaded clips holding the filter in place is missing, could this cause that particular code? Also using am Multi meter how do you check to make sure the Mass Air Flow sensor is working?
Ya I was wanting to know opinions on the housing not being secured properly and if that may be all that was needed to toss the code. All my vehicles run carbs or OBDI I am unfamiliar with this computer system and just how sensitive the damn thing is in regards to something as simple as the housing around the air filter not being tightened down properly. I goggled the code it didn't list the most likely cause just what it meant. Circuit low input, could that be caused by a leak in the filter area or would it most likely be something else?

Sensors definitely bad I had to tow the damn car home... It started running so rich it was bogging bad even when I could keep the engine running so I got a ride home from work and pulled it with the truck.
Yes and maybe
