Default another rear end ?

Ok, so I'm going to replace the rear end on my 1999 v6, if I find someone selling a whole rear end, what years will fit under my car.

99-04 if you want it to be exactly the same. previous years are shorter but will still work

Thanks, I figured the 99-04 would work but you answered what I was wondering and that was about previous years.

no problem. another thing to consider is the gearing that the previous years may have. some of the older ones had like 2.73 and 3.08 gears so if you put one of those in your car may not feel as quick. our cars stock ring and pinion ratio is 3.27

Watch out for those 2.73's....I have those in my 95 and because of it I can't accelerate much faster than a Prius...
