Default car sputtering

Recently my car started sputtering. It is not throwing any codes but it jerks and times while I drive.

When I am parked the rpms drop and the car cuts itself off.

Already checked for vaccuum leaks and found none.

What could be the problem here?

When's the last time you had a tune up done? Your spark plugs might be going out.

A couple 2 months back.

I think I found it. There was a bad connection from my negative battery lead.

I'm not sure plugs could kill these engines. I just bought a 98 3.8 that had the factory plugs and wires. Wires were a PITA to remove. Anyway the plugs were so worn out they ranged from .080 to over .100 ( highest my gauge goes) and it was still running well.
