I am so grateful I was able to borrow my moms new Subaru for the night. Driving home from Manchester at one AM was NOT fun at all

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-Ford-4-...#ht_500wt_1287 Can I get some feedback on this from you guys? I've never bought anything over ebay... This is exactly what I need though. all intakes, accessories, and heads are okay on the engine I have, just a bad block and oil pan. would this be worth the 150 + 187 for shipping?

Update: Only the block and heads are left in the car and STILL no visible damage besides the holes in the oil pan. Renting a crane as soon as I can get my hands on a truck and getting the motor inside on a stand so I can take some pictures for y'all. Finally Finished my A/C delete too, Delete pulley is on its way from LMR

Caution with that LMR a/c delete. It does not line up fully with the rest of the acc. for the belt (at least mine didnt). You will need to shim it alittle bit if you want the belt to ride the idler pulley correctly. I mean it works but its alittle off. Im OCD about that sort of thing so.

What I found today...

Passenger side head (cyl. 1,2,3) was COMPLETELY filled with burnt coolant/oil mixture.

Piston #2 has small score marks from what looks like the valve ticking I've been hearing.

Connecting rod on cylinder 6 is gone, snapped, destroyed, obliterated. Pick your poison.

Drivers side cylinder head has something stuck under valve that's placed over cylinder 5 keeping it from closing all the way.

Abrasions on the top of piston #6 and on the bottom of the drivers side head. Looks like piston was slammed into the head.

Hole in the Oil pan, there's a smaller one on the side of the pan on the pass. side that I couldn't get with the camera too

Here's all that's left! Just need to get that crane and wait on my 4.2 short block

I only bought the 4.2 core (Block, Rotating assy, Timing cover) so I'm probably going to try to re-use my heads with a new valves and lifters. What should I use to clean these bad larry's up so I can get all this oil/coolant out. I've heard soak em in coca cola over night honestly

Are you going to run that core without rebuilding it?
