Default Quick question (Miles per gallon)

I have a 2001 v6, with true diverged exhaust and a CAI. I have been getting roughly 21-23 MPG leading to about 300 miles per tank. today i checked the tire pressure in all my tires, each being about 25 psi. My tires are supposed to be at 35. I inflated them all to the correct pressure. just a questimate, what will my MPG look like now, if even effected?

You should see a bit of an improvement going to the recommended pressure. Not saying that it will be a huge difference, but I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 mpg. Worth the quick 30 seconds to air them all the way.

^That sucks. My 95 has been getting 27-32 all summer long, most of it a city/highway mix. Running 30 PSI in all 4 tires (not stock size).

A lot of things effect MPG, but under inflated tires will certainly kill mpg. It's very important, especially in the winter to keep an eye on tire pressure. But 300 and being near empty isn't good, my 08 GT gets to around 320 and I have around 1.5 gallons left at that point. The 11 V6 has been reading 27 mpg with mixed driving.

Well, i do get on it ALOT... lets just say im the first off every stoplight. However, i dont typically speed. I have 17" rims with 245/45zr17's. The back tires prolly wont pass inspection but im gonna drive the truck through winter and get new tires and possibly rims around tax time. I am satisfied with the 25 mpg. I will give you an update once i check the milage with inflated tires

^That's what I'm running in the front of my 95 and 275/40/17's in the rear. I originally had them at 35 but the ride was so rough that I set them back to 30 psi.

Wow, at 200 I usually still have 1/2 a tank... I average about 27 mpg on my commute... about 8 miles at 35 mph with stop lights (typical suburbia side roads) and about 20 miles freeway, usually about 70 mph.

I went on a little road trip a while ago, averaged 29.4 mpg on my return.

Ahh...yes my 98 Mustang did that one time too, actually hit 30 mpg on a long business trip I took way back when. The 11 V6 gets amazing gas millage too. Mixed/city MPG isn't much better than previous year V6s, but put that thing on the high way at a stead speed and RPM and the MPG goes nicely into the low 30s, it's incredible especially considering the car has as much power as it does.

JThorn stop showing off Shelly! Oh and back to the subject- I normally got 26-27 before the heads and intake swap, 17's, and 3.73's. Now I get about 20.
