Default h-pipe or x-pipe

I have a 2000 v6 mustang with dual exhaust. I was wondering what would be better for more horse power and torque, the H-pipe or x-pipe and with or without cats. thanks for the help

I have heard something that you should do a h-pipe because of the 6's firing order.

the firing order in the v6 actually doesnt require a crossover section. however the 4.6L v8 does require a crossover for equalization of exhaust gases. basically, the H pipe is lower pitch and the X pipe is louder. with 2 cats, i have the H pipe and it is still very loud.

Autobadges has a site with different video clips of his 6'er and he has a clip of true duals with flows on them. http://www.showstang.com/showstang/videos/flows.html sounds more than decent to me. It isn't a high rev but at low rpms it sounds good.

Dont forget though about autobadge's v6 is it sounds EXCELLENT for a v6 but thats not all exhaust.....he has alot of engine work including a good cam, so dont think u can sound like that with just an exhaust system

Exactly. He also has it bored out I'm pretty sure. I think I saw say something about that in a previous thread. He has put a ton of work, effort, and money into that car.

the cam shaft has a lot to do with the sound. with long tube headers, CATTED (2 cats) H pipe, and chamberd (flowmaster) mufflers, you will make women wet when you drive by[8D]. uncatted will be obnoxious and annoying with stock cam
