Default Transmission?

So this may be a dumb question, but I am unsure of what type of tranny i have. I need to replace my clutch. http://www.americanmuscle.com/transm...dentifier.html says " If you look down to the bottom right of the tag, you should see an area labeled "TR." Underneath this label there are 5 letters and numbers" well, under my tag there is ONLY a 5 there. so does this mean I have a T-5? It is a 2001 v6 and i am having trouble finding a clutch for a 2001 t-5. i am a little confused, a little insight would be great! Thanks in advance

Jeff,
The only three clutches we carry to fit your 2001 V6 are as follows:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/spec-s...v6-clutch.html
for the spec stage 1 or
http://www.americanmuscle.com/spec-s...v6-clutch.html
for the spec stage 2 or
http://www.americanmuscle.com/ramclu...p-9404v61.html
For the RAM kit.

These three clutches will be the only ones we carry to work on your 2001 V6.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to PM me directly if you have any questions in the future!
Have a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year!

Wouldn't a clutch designed for a 2001 t-5 gt work? I don't know much about clutch's to be honest, but im getting a pulsing from my clutch and i think my pivot stud and or my pilot bearing has gone bad...So i figured might as well do my clutch while im in there.

2001 gt's didn't have the t5. 1995 was the last gt to have a t5. 96-00 had the t45, 01-04 had the t3650

On one of the fitment pages on AM it says "Fits: 1996-Mid 2001 GT with a T-5 or T-45" I'm only 17 and don't have that much spare change laying around for a clutch, I'm just trying to find something cheap.
