Unhappy HELP!!!

Ok so i have a 95' 3.8l v6 mustang, and someone cut two of the wires that go to my mass airflow sensor. now the car runs crappy. it has no power and sputters really bad at high rpms... i have no idea what to do to fix it. i have put the wires back togeather and they have a good connection... but still sputters really bad... my thought was something happened to the mass airflow sensor and thinking about buying a new one but before i do i was looking for ideas. thanks to whoever can help.

take the sensor out and clean it really well.. if that doesnt help, i would double check your connections, and be sure your computer doesnt still think it is bad.. try clearing any codes.

Disconnect the battery and let it sit for say 15 minutes or so, that will clear the codes.

A long shot, but cutting the wires may have caused a short long enough to blow a fuse.

Did you solder the wires or just crimp them together. Also not sure but maybe it is ground specific, as it could be possible there is a positive side etc... Computer may not read it right if the wires are crossed?

Yes it is a better connection than crimping. Also less susceptible to corrosion and shorts. I never use crimp on terminals. Solder and use heat shrink tubing.

Did someone cut these wires on purpose? If so could there be any other wires you missed?? Maybe check your plug wires
