Question I NEED ADVICE!!! ASAP!

I have a 2001 v6 mustang convertible. There is a mustang shop right by my house, they said they could cut my stock springs to lower my car for $120. but i have some questions... Will I need to get and extra stuff like new shocks or C/C Plates?? Will i have to get my front end allignment re done? Does this shorten my tread life on my tires? Will this improve my handling/keep it the same/ or make it worse? Will this make my car really bumpy? If all i want to do is cut the springs am I fine to do normal driving all the time, or should you only keep them like this for a short time??

Cutting springs will lower the ride(duh) which will make you feel bumps more, and if they lower the front itll look weird without the rear lowered, meaning you will need a 4 wheel alignment...I think mustangs have a solid rear axle so you wouldnt really need a rear alignment, i may be wrong. You will need new C/C plates depending how much they cut. Your tread life shouldnt be affected

I am really against cutting springs but others will say it's fine.. It is "ok" but still I will refer you to roush springs, they lower the car 1.5" in front and .8" in rear that is border line needing c/c plates but not necessary and you will need an alignment. When i lowered mine I took the opportunity to change the shocks and struts as well as they were worn out.

Personally I wouldn't cut springs on my cars. If you want to lower it, save up a bit and get the correct springs you want for ride height.

I've heard you can cut one coil turn. But, I would at least put a set of Camber Bolts on to correct the camber. They only cost 25.00, and you can get them at Sumitt where I got mine, but I think even American Muscle carries them too. EASY INSTALL.

Right now i am on my secound set of wheels, and love them Front: 17x9 275/40-17 nittos and the rear: 17x10.5 315/35-17 nittos. i ended up having them lower it, he said he took off around 1 coil. i like the way it rides ya'll were right it is more bumpy but not bad. i really only notice it on the speed bumps and the driveway bump. Im getting the height i want and handling. and thank gosh i dont hit the bottom of my car on speed bumps. Thanks for all the help!!
