Default need Help!

Ok heres the thing. I have an auto 3.8L v6 2 door stang. I like it and all but my parents said i could get trans am at the end of the school year. I know this is a stang forum but i was jsut curious of what i should. This trans am i am looking at has 350 HP 390 torque 6 spd manual. At the ned of the year tho, which would be in march, i would have enuff for a S/C, which would make me have 300+ with all the other upgrates i will be getting, but the trans am would most likely still have more and would be manual, i really want a manual, so what should i do?

Dude consult a shop or an online site that specializes in transmissions. Converting a car from auto to standard does require a little work and the pros are the best people to ask. Also consult pontiac so they can give you some advice.

What year is the trans am? I don't know...the trans am will have all the HP your mustang will with the s/c and everything. Then you could spend money on the trans am. I actually think they're pretty nice...much better than camaro's.

Yea, no joke. Anybody ever heard of a 4 door mustang? Oh yea, 2 door is your only option. Don't take it personal, we're only joking.

there actually was a 4 door stang made...just not in 2003 . If you upgraded your heads/cams and did a full exhaust you would push around 340 rwhp and thats being very modest. Also dont forget your car weighs about 400 lbs less than a trans am which translates into an automatic .4 faster in the 1/4 (.1 for every 100 lbs). Automatics are actually better for the track once you get a high hp car so if your worried about the auto slowing you down...dont. Theres endless possibilities for a v6 stang if youve got the patience and $ to make it work, keep in mind how many trans ams that are fast out there then think of how many really fast v6 stangs there are....

What year is your 4 door, because almost all sports cars are 2 door. 4 doors are coups and sedans.

They made a VERY few 4 door fox body stangs, it was featured in MM&FF about a year ago i think. I can remember the exact year of production but its somewhere between 1984-1990, Im too lazy to go and search for the exact date. \

Good luck with your stang btw pierceman, let us know what you decide to go with.
