This is my question for all of you out there who have bought a programmer and eliminated your top speed limitator. I was wondering how fast you guys managed to go. Now of course my top is still about 112 mph, damn limitator, and if any of you didn't buy one, then don't go jump in your car to find out how fast it will go, you will top out at about 112, maybe a hair higher, promise you, on the flip side, if you did buy one don't do the same, don't want any of you getting killed or blowing your engine. This question is for those of you that have either been to a dyno, a track, or just got bored enough coming home late one night and decided to see how fast you could go. Lets see what type of results we get, please V6s only.

 

Is that only for your year car or for all mustangs? If my 03 mustang only goes that fast that would suck.

 

Since removing the limiter, I've had mine up to 125. Not saying that's the top speed, because I did have a little pedal left.

 

I have gotten mine to 119 with 87 octane gas, with high octane u can go higher i got it to 120+ with premium but speedo only goes up to 120. I have an 04 stang. and how did u know u were goin 125 (bumble bee, lol i remember that post) yellow stang if speedo only goes up to 120 unless u had someone with a radar gun or got pulled over.

 

or enabled your diagnostic gauge cluster

oh and btw higher octane gas doesn't increase ur speed or performance at all, unless you have forced induction, advanced timing, etc.

 

speed limitator? i didnt even know there was such a thing in my car..
ive had mine all the way up to 230 KMH
not sure how many MPH that works out to but its up there..

 

[sm=bustedsign.gif] Sorry. I extrapolated to what I thought was 125. Kinda like looking at the speedo, and adding the extra marks in the minds eye. Almost burried the speedo. Ohh..ok It was a guess! LOL BUT, between my town and the next town north, there is a special enforcement zone. It has 4 radar traps to let ya know you're speeding..MAYBE one day..hehehehehehe

 

mine is a stock 95 3.8 manual tranny not sure if mine has a limiter or not but i done 122 and got the ticket to prove it.

 

Yea ive had mine up to 118 a couple of times. The first time i got it up there i was racing a VR6 Jetta from a 60 mph roll and i was winning by half a car length untill the limitor decided to kick in and cut fuel.
