Default turbo setup?

so i was talking to somebody that said they know a friend thats trying to sell a turbo setup for about $300, i was wondering what is ususally included in a turbo setup, and what you would need to get to get it to work. (assuming that he only gives me what you would get if you bought the setup and nothing else). its a 2.3L setup im guessing it may even be straight off an svo. and would i be required to swap my rear end, or could my rear end handle the power if its not being used at max output all the time?

$4000 is a little high for the base price. $1300 is the lowest I've seen, $4000 is the highest, just look on ebay you'll see.

people he is talking about the stock turbo set up that cam eon the 2.3L SVO turbo mustang 4cyl. $300 sounds like a good price for one of these if its in good condition. As far as the whole set up it all depends on the guy you have to talk to him. You would prob need new fuel injectors and i would think the tranny and the rear end could hold it no problem. just fuel injectors and new computer for your car just get the stock one off any 2.3L SVO it will fit.

Good luck I always wanted to buy one just to say i had a turbo stang.

not true peeps. you can buy the parts yourself and fabricate everything and spend about $1300 and have a nice psi setup as jthorn said. most people don't just want to buy the kit made specifically for their car so things just go right in though. that's where the $4000+ comes in.

well $300 for an SVO setup is low. By the way instead of buying a setup for your 2.3 just swap the whole engine, trans, and rear end. if you don't want to i would love to see how it comes out in the end. A SVO engie is a 2.3 with some forged internals and a turbo.
