Default Just making sure..

So my altnernator died recently, had a mechanic I know put in a new one. I think that the coolant reservoir tube was in his way to put the alternator in so he temporaily took it off, he must have forgot to put it on. I went to look under my hood today to check how my baby was running, because I always do that, and the hose wasn't on the nipple underneath the radiator cap. There was a little bit of coolant spewing out because there wasn't a tube there. The car was not driven that much at all since the alternator was put in. I just wanted to ask you if this could cause any problems?

I'm pretty sure I caught it, thank god I get paranoid about my car all the time

Actually I just went out to look at it again, he did intact leave the hose off.

The question is would something like that neglected, after a couple short drives do any damage?

Probably not. Just make sure the coolant level is still good, if not top it off.

Pop it back on check coolant level and go about your life! Lol it's good you caught that before you lost enough coolant to cause overheating.

I know I'm so happy and relieved. I'm so glad it didn't get a chance to overheat, because that could have been a disaster, but thanks!
