Does anyone know,



What a shift kit would do to a 99 V6 Mustang?, and which one would be the most effective?

 

Actually, I went to a transmission place and they highly recommend not messing with the trany's eletrical! So cancel on a shift kit.

 

OOOKKK but a shift kit really doesn't mess with the electronics... a chip does... i've never even heard of a chip messin up a trans either... a shift has nothing to do with the electronics... but whatever do what ya want..

 

I had my trany re-hauled and the mechanic told me that the trany is shifted by the computer (which is eletronics) and the way ford does it is pretty well built. no need for shift kit. why you got a shift kit in your mustang?

All I have heard is to stay away from the

electronic shift kit. Transgo makes a shift kit

that you are looking for.

I have not had a chance to purchase or put it in yet.

But it comes highly recomended.

 

yea no offense ford's trans in the mustangs especially autos SUCK.. i hate mine it pisses me off.. i hate the way it revs to the moon but doesn't go anywere till the rpms start dropping.... ford hasn't put a strong enough auto trans in a mustang yet... i wish i could put the trans form my old truck in my stang that would be baddd... 700R4... badd *** trans... the only thing i liek about gm.. their trans'... the 4L60E bad ***...

 

shift kits on 6 cylinder mustangs is like a butt plug, no matter how good it works it's still gay
