Throw out bearing! That's what I blew out back in the day...was a newly installed clutch too haha..oh my those days were crazy circa 1986/87.

would a trans from a 2002 gt fit mine?

You have a t-5 and the GT came with a t-45, not sure if they are interchangable with the bellhousing and pilot bearing you have.

is there ways to post a picture up here of the tranny after i pull it? so that maybe you will be able to see what i broke and if it would be simple to rebuild it?

Yes, but If you open up the transmission after you get it out, it should be obvious what broke, If the noise is really as bad as you described it to be.
