Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with overdrive. I purchased a 98 mustang v6 about a month ago and it has been running great. Yesterday it seems to have lost overdrive completely. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd work fine but when it goes to shift into 4th it feels like it's in neutral. If I turn off overdrive everything is fine but as soon as I turn it back on the problem returns... Is there an electrical switch of servo that might be the cause or do I just need to have it rebuilt.

I drained the tranny and replaced the fluid/filter. Didn't seem to change the problem.
