Go with TRUE dual exhaust. Not the Y-Pipe! As far as x or h pipe, not much diference. It's personal preference. With the X-Pipe, it does sound a bit better IMO. I also recommend Flowmaster 40 series. But there are others. Borla, magnaflow, etc.. I have a sound clip posted in the sound gallery here. Might have a problem hearing it because of bandwidth useage. Friday nite they are changing servers. You should be able to hear it after then. As far as gears go, the opinions vary. Consensus seems to be if you have a manual, go with 3.73's. Auto 4.10's. T-lok is Ford's version of Posi. Stock 6's drive only the right rear wheel, The T-lok makes it so BOTH rear wheels are driven. This gives you more traction, and stability. With the 4.10's and T-lok you get more power to the pavement. On Monday, I'm haveing my 4.10's and T-lok installed. 5 days and counting!!!!!!! I can't wait!! As far as installation of gears and T-lok, I highly recommend a pro doing it. I am a journeyman mechanic, and I am haveing someone else do mine. It takes special tools and EXPERIENCE! My guy is installing them for $250.00.
Seriously, talk to AutoBadges for the T-lok and gears, whichever way you go. He turned me on to a source for GENUINE Ford Raceing parts that were cheaper than any other I found.

flowmasters are probably the cheapest and loudest/deepest combo you can get for a 6, without it sounding ricey. you can get flowmaster knockoff mufflers a lot cheaper than flowmasters, and they're the same exact thing.

Yeah, try pypesexhaust.com. They have flowmaster "knockoffs". They are called the ProV, they have nice V6 stuff.

god damn it why would you want to have cheap brand name parts on your car? its embarrassing to even tell people when they ask.

"nice what exhaust is that"

"oh its a flowmaster knockoff"

"um....ok"

hahahahaha

I guess it may just be me.

For certain things like cough syrup its ok to get VONS brand...but for parts for the stang? not a chance...I go with the name that has been around for years.....with people that fully back them up...not any company trying to COPY an original product just to make profit (booooo)

you don't need to tell somebody they're flowmaster knockoffs, you could call them regular flowmasters. they're the exact same thing.

on a side note, i wouldn't tell anybody i had flowmasters even if i had them. i dislike their sound in general.
