Alright, look on ebay for 40 series mufflers. I got mine for $55 a piece and $10 shipping. So I saved almost 50% of what I would have at most places. If you want, get GT take offs. If not, have the muffler shop order GT piping (which comes with the tips too) and it should be about $80 a side (so $160 total). It would be cheaper to just get someones take offs, but make sure they're in good shape.

Next, Don't keep your Y pipe. First off, it defeats the purpose of getting duals...becuase, like mentioned, you'd just have fake duals. Not to mention it sounds ricey and ****ty. Now, you can get high flow cats if you wish, or just leave the stock ones. You'll still get a good sound out of the stock cats. Get an H pipe. You could also get an X pipe, but they give off a higher pitch...not what I think a muscle car should sound like, but that's just me. A H pipe will provide balance in the tone of your exhaust. You don't necesarily have to buy one, a shop can easily fabricate one for you.

Alright, the whole offset thing...I'll try and explain that. See how on each muffler theres a little piece of "piping" on each end? This is the inlet and outlet (but you probably know that). They are placed in different spots, so you can get the right one to fit your car. Offset/Offset simply means that the inlet and outlet are on opposite sides. It may be written as O/O. Some will come as offset/center. Where the inlet may be right in the middler, but the outlet is on the outside. So it may be written as O/C. Then finally, another may be C/C, where both the inlet and the outlet are centered. Pictures always help...

This is offset/offset. This is what you need!

And here you go... Click!
This is an auction for a 40 series muffler, but the outlets are 2.5". I'm not sure what size your looking for, but he probably has it. This guy carries TONS of flowmaster mufflers, check out his store. This is where I got my mufflers. And for this muffler, it's $60+Free Shipping. Not bad eh?

It doesnt matter what he had them on, if it's the correct offset and the inlet and outlet are the size you need, you'll be fine. They didn't make mufflers for each year of each car, they're pretty much universal.
