Default exhaust options

Alright guys whats up my first thread in a while.

So my car already has a divorced true dual setup with flowmaster's super 44s. Now I like the sound it makes sounds awesome at low revs and such. unfortunately iv already been bashed for having flowmasters on a v6, luckily it was only one guy. Im a poor college kid so i do what the money allows. Anyway back to the point. Again I did this when i didnt have that much money so i went with flowmasters. Well now im thinking of upgrading to same setup just with magnaflows. What do yall think? I know there a little better quality than flowmasters. My other option would be keep the flowmasters and put on high flow cats... would that work better? and for those of you in texas are the high flow cats emissions legal?

Thanks guys happy hump day!

Are your mufflers rusting through or something? If not and your happy with the sound screw everyone else. Don't let someone make you feel bad about your car, the whole point of upgrading the exhaust is for power and sound.
Being as a v6 doesn't gain a whole lot from upgrading that leaves sound. You said yourself you like how it sounds. There's always gonna be someone with more money picking on you for not getting "better". Don't let them make you spend all your money.

High flow cats will change the tone of your exhaust and free up your flow a bit, I can't give you to much on the emissions status as I'm in VA.

Do you have emissions inspection? If not you should be okay.
I'm not sure if anything but stock cats will pass the visual inspection though, I've never had to deal with it since there's no emissions checks where I live.

Well you like the sound right so why change it? if someone's going to laugh at you for having flowmasters than just laugh back at their corolla. That's just what I think, can't help you with the cat situation though.

Naw the flowmasters arnt even a year old. Well one of them is two. There is emissions here but its texas lol. Theres a guy who brings his twin turbo mustang to car shows who has the exhaust coming out the front bumper and he has an inspection sticker lol. But i dont wana spend 400 and it not be legal cause its my daily driver.
