Im purchasing a 2001 mustang and there is a code for the gas filler neck.Any idea on price for that repair.Thanks

 

could be gas cap is not sealing fully...or the grommet around the neck is shot, if the neck were leaking you should be spilling gas though.

 

I'm having the same problem with my 99 3.8. All the auto part stores in my area can not get them and looking online the cheapest I have been able to find besides eBay is for $120. For as far as replacing it goes it looks pretty simple seeming how you can get to it from the trunk and from underneath. Hope that helps you.

 

When I bought mine the grommet was shot and the day I got it I filled it up and gas poured out of it...but no light was on.
