Nah, I can't cheer for a team that left us... Even if it was the stupid Spirit Group's fault (investment company that owned them) and not the players. Now the Spirit Group can focus on killing the NBA Hawks team here which they also own...

So I guess I'll have to wait for the next pre-Canadian team to start in Atlanta...

Lol... Well we can always use another Edmonton Oilers fan my friend!!! And I dont know if the NHL will ever put another team in Atlanta. From what I understand, the attendance levels were quite low and the team was losing money but what DOES NOT make sense about that is that Phoenix looses money HAND OVER FIST and the NHL refuses to let the team leave Arizona...

Strangely enough, the Phoenix Coyotes were the ORIGINAL Winnipeg Jets when they left Winnipeg and they wanted the Coyotes to come back to Manitoba but they got the Thrashes instead...

Some strange business decisions if you ask me...

Well with the Thrashers specifically, I recall there being something about the NHL contracts that said if the team did not stay in Atlanta then the league would get some millions of dollars. I imagine that helped them decide to allow that move...

I'm born and raised in DC and still live in VA. The winter here has been HORRIBLE this year- just like the winters we get every 4 or 5 years in the area. Winter just won't let up it's grip. We just got about another 5 inches of snow last night, even though it's been in the 60s the last couple of days. It's ridiculous...and not fun in the Stang since the ABS/Traction Control computer has been fried for a couple of years now.
