Default Tricky tick

Hey guys new member always looked but never joined but I have a problem and I'm looking for help. A few months ago my 02 v6 started ticking was well over due for an oil change so I try to put the oil treatment in until I get a chance to do it in a few weeks. So when I do it I put a quart of Lucas in with my 4 qts of high mileage full synthetic still no fix. So I have a friend a former mechanic listen says he thinks timing chain while others say lifters. So two weeks ago I do the timing chain no fix. Last week I do lifters pushrods rocker arms now the tick comes and goes mostly when it is cold it is not there sometimes it seems to also to quiet when around 70-80 I know I have an exhaust leak not stock headers but the gasket has a hole in it but when I tried to re torque everything there are several on the driverside that I can still wiggle towards the front and back of the engine with 45 ftlbs I don't know what to do but to me that is not zero lash what is my next step please help the engine has 124000 on it as far as i know stock cam and everything was replaced with stock
