I'm a complete newbie to the mustang world. Just picked up my 2003 6 cylinder and plan on doing a few mods to it. I've looked through the forums and have a few ideas on what I want to do. I'm looking to put on a cold-air intake and have a couple questions. Is there a certain brand that I should look for? I saw one on e-bay that has a K&N filter (those are good on bikes so must be for cars too?) and the price seems fair ($65). What will that do to the factory warranty on the motor and is this mod worth the money?

its worht buying and for the most part i dont think it will void the warrenty but to be safe just keep the stock intake and if somehting happens to the car put the stock back on and take it back lol

 

best thing would be the MAC Cold Air kit... look for it, it is a good buy.</P>

 

i got a MAC CIA also.. and im very impressed with what it has done... i wouldnt buy that kit from ebay.. i would stick with MAC...

 

I'd stick to making it in your back yard.

You can make a VERY comparable kit compared to teh MAC ones for well under $60.

 

i just bought one of those kits off ebay it works fine and i definitely notice a diff after putting it on

 

like jeep said, u can also buy a K&amp;N filter, and custom fab a pipe
