Default GT shocks & struts

I was wondering of swapping the stock V6 shocks & struts to GT. Do you think one can feel a substantial improvement? Additionally, I would pair them with a set of Steeda sport springs...
Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Napa shows same part numbers for v6 versus GT front struts so I'm willing to bet it will make no difference at all.

Nevermind I see you have an 06, ill go check that one for ya too though.

Same thing popping up for 06, so wont make any difference. Wouldn't replace your suspension unless you are going with some good aftermarket or your stuff is worn out.

V6 vert uses GT coupe shocks/ springs , if you were to go through all that though you are probably better off getting some upgraded springs and shocks from AM

I just entered v6 coupe, pulled up a front strut, then re did it for GT and the part number was the same, I'm assuming he's buying new, not much sense in replacing used with used.

^yup, Struts and shocks are the same for both v6 and GT. Only the springs are different, depending on model.

Agreed. Probably the same from the factory, or at most the "Even Better" grade (on the "Good/Standard, Better, Even Better, Best" scale).

However, be advised that NAPA numbers are for FITMENT of the parts that they CARRY. If the part fits mechanical standards for the GT, they will list it as a GT part, even if it's got the performance characteristics of the standard part (and then they can carry one part, rather than two). The GT might have come from Ford with the "Even Better" grade, but NAPA might carry only the "Better" grade as their replacement because it fits, and give that number for both cars.

I think if I were looking for higher performance struts, I'd be on the phone to a suspension shop to ask them about it.
