Have an 03 V6 and it wont take gas unless filled really slow. I have replaced the solenoid and that didn't help. I heard about the charcoal canister which assists in fueling also. Any ideas? Thanks.

 

The solenoid is only part of the system. Check it’s hoses to see if one of them is crimped. Also try disconnecting the wiring harness for the solenoid and check if it has power when the car is off. If so then the solenoid is likely being commanded to close when the car is off, which it shouldn’t. Good luck...

 

if the vent solenoid was being commanded closed, he would also have a check engine light and evap codes. its most likely a problem with the filler neck, there is a flapper in it and if someone tries to siphon fuel they can jam it and it will restrict fuel flow. i would run the tank low and drop the tank and inspect the filler
