Default Question on CA for 2001 V-6?

The stock air induction on a 2001 3.8 takes the air from the right front wheel well. How can a CA kit improve on the stock induction system when only part that is moved to the outside of the engine compartment is the air cleaner element? Seems like CA kits is a waste of money better spent on beer.

Unless you mod the hell out of a V6 yes, the stock air box is good enough.

90% of the power from a CAI comes not from the CAI itself but from the accompanying tune that is sold with it. A CAI without a tune is just for looks, nothing more.

Only two posts in and you're well ahead of the curve, I see a bright future for your car lol. No sarcasm here, most people don't look at there car and actually think about those things. They just go oh, well an aftermarket intake HAS to make more power.

Well yeah but that's a tad more involved mechanically, and financially than just a cold air intake lol.
