Default Strange vibration and or rubbing sound :/

Wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this, I am not sure if its a problem but.... I have a 99 V6 for my daily driver its got almost 146k on it. Every now and then I get some strange vibrations in the car that you can kind of hear. Sounds like some strange rubbing sound, I think its coming from the transmission. :/ It's a 5 speed with a T5. The transmission kind of has a whine to it.... but its done that for a long long time.

Going to see if I can record it later... but it does not always do it.

Do the vibration and the noise always occur at the same time?

What conditions seem to make the problem(s) appear, or make it go away?

^ that. Is it speed related? RPM? only when you turn certain ways?

No seems to only do it at idle, seems to happen more when the cars warmed up.

So it's not speed related at all! That really narrows it down.

First thing I'd check would be the engine and transmission mounts.

What does it sound like? Rubber? metal hitting metal?

Agreed, I would check the mounts and clearance of the exhaust and such.

Have you been keeping up on the trans fluid level? Is the fluid burned, diluted, ancient?

How long does it last when it starts? If it goes long enough, see what happens when you shift into a different gear, let it roll forward a couple of feet, etc. In other words, CHANGE something, and see what happens.

Do you feel it in the clutch pedal? Could be the throw out bearing, or even the clutch/pressure plate.

It just had the clutch and throw out bearing done about 2 months ago. Have not had its mounts looked at. But yeah I have this feeling it's something with the transmission. It's clutch was almost none existent when I first got it. But its hard to say where I feel it at, if I had to take a stab at it, it feels like the transmission and yes it will stop if I go into gear and move forward. But ya 90% sure its transmission because it has a humming sound from the transmission at low speeds.
