Question Help identifying part...

Hi,

New to the forum and mustangs, looking forward to being an active part of the community and learning more about mustangs.

I picked up a 2000 3.8L Mustang I'm hoping someone can help me identify the part in the photo... It needs to be replaced as the male end is stripped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Thats the EGR tube.

Good luck- ford Disco'd them. Try tasca ford, they may have a few left. I ripped mine up installed longtubes, and got a spare when they only had a few left.

Thanks NYStang. I have not had a chance to try and locate a new one yet and after having a better look at mine I may still be able to get it to work...

Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find the heat protector sleeve material that goes over the EGR tube?

Thanks

It's not supposed to have one. Or at least the 2000 3.8L I bought new in Cali didn't.

And if you can't find it by looking up EGR tube try AIR tube.
