I loved my 2000 3.8 Auto! I put a K&N filter, underdrive pulleys, dual exhaust and bumped up the timing by rotating the crank shaft position sensor. I could hit 60 in 7 seconds and bark the tires going into 2nd gear.
Plus, got high 20s MPG, 31.8 mpg on a road trip. I put 200,000 miles on it, it was my favourite car until I got my 2012. It was "fast enough to be fun"!

This was the first car I bought so it's hard to part with it. When the engine had issues I couldn't just give it up. Hell my new engine doesn't even look like it's been drove. Heads look brand new.

Engine turns good. Everything else looks good. Wiring gets hooked back up tomorrow and accessories get put back on then to see if it actually starts. Kinda in a stuck middle feeling right now lol I can't decide if I'm anxious or nervous.

She's all done. Driving better than it did when I bought the car. Lol took about 15 hours total (had to replace injectors after swapping engine)

Something I've been tossing around is changing the exhaust again. Currently I have a pypes dual out the back. But I have people saying I should change it and etc. The place that did the engine said they can redo the whole exhaust how I want it done for a few hundred. I can't decide to go with glasspacks or high flows. Any suggestions if I go with changing the exhaust? I'm not sure if I'm actually going to change it or not.

Do you have emissions testing? If not then dump the cats and forget them. The type of exhaust though is up to your ears. they all sound different. Love my H pipe, long tubes and MACs.

Back pressure is a myth.

No emissions at all. As for sound I want a deeper agressive sound. I kinda was thinking a divorced true dual setup.
