Default Weird noise from engine

Just recently I've started hearing what I can only describe as a whirring or whining sound coming from the engine. I haven't been able to check on it yet but I know it isn't the same whine as a power steering pump whine. The sound is the same whether I'm sitting still or driving. Anybody have any ideas what it could be?

Bad tensioner pulley / bearing?
Bad water pump bearing?

It very well might be one of those. I popped the hood just to take a quick listen to see if I could pinpoint where the noise was coming from and it sounded like it was coming from the left side. I'll definitely check that later today when I get off work.

Is there a way you can replace just the bearings if that's the issue or do you have to replace the whole component?

Thank you for the help.

Got a chance to pop the hood today and the noise was definitely coming from the tensioner pulley. I took it off and I could hardly even turn it by hand. I replaced it and it's good as new. Thanks for the help!
