1998 mustang v6 upgrades

I'm in highschool and I own a 1998 mustang v6 and I'm wondering how I can make the most horsepower for $2500-$3000 if I can't then I might as well just buy a mustang GT.

For that much just buy a GT. You can spend that and more on mods and never get as much out of a V6 as a V8.
