Diablo *chip*
ok, i got a diablo chip off ebay for pretty cheap, its not a tuner, its just the chip. I brought it to my local autoshop and the guy told me that if i wanted it done i would have to start using 95 octane. Im pretty sure thats premium, which means im gunna have to dish out more money for gas now. Is he just pulling my strings or is this for real? Also if i did have to start using premium does it burn better, thus giving you better mpg and paying for itself after every fillup? what should i do here, i know many people have tuners in their stangs, what do they do?

well, does premium burn efficiently? or does it give you the same mpg as regular? and what would a chip do for mpg? im trying to get a big picture here, i dont want to turn this into a costly project.

did u notice a major increase on your gas bill every week? so the premo gas destroys mpg? but how about the tuner does it help it?

Yes you will have to use premium, that's 93 or 91 octane, never heard on 95 being sold. Me I actually got a mpg boost when I retuned my ecu, and started using 93 octane, if I dare use 87 or 89 now I get crapy mpg. Now during the summer I didn't fair out so well, about 325 miles to the tank, but now I get close to 375-400 every time. Yes it burns better and will therefore give you a slight boost in accelleration.
