I am in great need of help. I have a 1996 GT with 3.8l. I have no temp reading on instrument panel. My start was to change coolant temp sensor. The YouTube videos I saw are no help. My temp sensor is not where those videos indicate. I am wondering if there was and engine swap at some point. Then I saw just a pic on internet indicating it’s on back of engine block driver side up against fire wall.

any and all guidance would be greatly appreciated.
