What do you think has the best or most unique tone with an aftermarket catback system? I just need to clear this up before I get my exhaust because there really isnt any sound clips out there for the exhaust setup im getting. heres what im shooting for by the end of this week. the pypes sfm52 which looks like this...

Some fool next to me at stop light last night revved his dual setup, which sounded fair, but when he obviously floored it on the green light the exhaust sounded just like twin fart cans.....pathetic. Be careful what you buy without hearing it first.

If you want a decent sound then an x pipe is the way to go. See h pipes are ok, but they don't allow for overflow of air from one side to the other, so sometimes one muffler can become louder than the other, an x pipe eliminates this problem which is why they have better hp gains. Now x pipes will muffle your sound a little, so if you want to be loud, and on a six I don't know why you would, but an h pipe would be the way to go for loudness.

I don't have cats, so mine is pretty darn loud. As far as twin fartcans, Cornholio, we have sixes so it really doesn't matter what brand exhaust you get you're gonna have high pitched sounds at high rpms. If you can get away with no cats, then don't get em.

OEM GT takeoffs on a V-6 don't sound like twin fart cans at all, rather they actually sound quite good at all rpm. Weld-in Flowmasters may sound even better, but I haven't heard that setup yet in person.
