Default Please stop useless threads

Have fun, but please stop the useless whoring. Let's try to keep our threads in this section on topic. Mustang Forums comes up in quite a few Google searches when a person is searching a certain word. For instance. Let's say someone searches the words "232 badge" and one of the links they pick directs them here to MF. Now they see pages of rediculous babbling and they don't see what they were looking for and our sponsor loses a sale and we lose the possibility of a new member. That ticks the owner off to no end, plus it's a waist of space. Now if someone does a Google search for "rediculous babbling" and it leads them to our off topic section with endless non tech crap as far as the eye can see, then they're happy and we're happy. See how it works? The V6 section is a "tech" section.

I copy and pasted this from another thread. Pretty much saying the same thing, but from a different angle.

I know it's funny to some to see who can ***** the most, but it's also against the rules here. The owner has already alerted us to the V6 section with a small but accurate list of names of members that he wants me to turn off your post counter until the "one word" replys stop.
I told him I'd talk to you guys first. I'm not saying you can't enjoy yourselves, just keep the worthless "one word" relpys to a minimum. The off topic section is for BSing because we limit and remove worthless threads. In the tech sections like the V6 section, we don't want to remove a thread that has valuable info in it like something from one of our vendors (autobadges) explaining one of his products and then the thread turns into a ***** fest. It's a lot of work for Mods to sort through the crap, so we have to just remove the thread.

By the way, I don't consider the Christmas thread a bad thread, because it pertains to V6'erz talking about getting V6 stuff, which in turn leads to conversations regarding V6 modifications. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I think everyone understands where you are coming from Mr. Booze.

You are a good guy and we all understand that you are just trying to keep the site running as smoothly as possible for everyone.

Good, I'm happy you guys understand. But I don't want the momentum to stop here in this section. If we keep our comradery up, we can become known for our V6 section amongst the Mustang world.........someday. [8D]
