Default THEFT system problems

i have a 2000 v6 and about once a week when i try to start my car, the engine will turn over and not start, and the THEFT dash light will be flashing rapidly. I will get out lock the car, unlock it, get back in, try to start the engine again....nothing works except waiting 10 mins for the system to reset i guess. This is really pisin me off because 10 mins is a long *** time to wait outside of your car, especially if you deliver pizzas and you have a ****load of people waitin for their food. However when i wait the 10 mins, the THEFT light has stopped flashing and sure enough the engne starts. How the hell do i get the theft system off either permanently or just disable it feach time i need too. Any help is apprecaited.

couldnt you just get your key reprogrammed thats what it sounds like to me, I would either call or go into a ford dealerships parts dept and talk to them about it and see what they see. Reprogramming the key is simple as whisltlin dixie... the instructions are in your owners manual

I don't know, but I'd like to get an anti-theft system that works like this: Someone sits in my car the the stang doesn't recognize, and if he tries to hotwire it, a shotgun barrel comes out of the steering wheel and blows his f***ing head off!!!

Yeah, that would probably be better. I don't wanna mess up my interior.... but even if they're fried, they're gonna have that one last bowel movement that'll probably soak through the seats.

Harvey,

was that when they stand next to the car and try to break it the FLAMES shoot up and burn them? that was wicked!

I remember I actually saw a TV segment of a company trying to LEGALLY market them.....but then I thought...what if you are in a parking lot? You will burn the other car, explode and millions die haha
