Default need info: shorty or long

I need help in deciding whether to go with short or long tube headers. I have a '01 V6 mustang. I have added a MAC Cold Air Intake and Flowmasters, I don't know the advantages and disadvantages of the two diffrerent headers so anyone that knows could please help me out in making a better decision. I also plan to add underdrive pulleys, throttlebody, suspension, wheels and tires, super chip, and ethier a super charger or turbo. Any other suggestions or criticism would also be welcomed. <edited><editID>joshv601</editID><editDate>37995.0162731481</editDate></edited>

Shorties if you stay with stock natural asperation, long tube if you go to heads, intakes, cam combo or super charger.<edited><editID>HotRods_n_Booze</editID><editDate>37996.7883333333</editDate></edited>

I would go longtube. I have no experience w/ headers, but from all other performance boards i read the longtube seem to be the top pick. They claim better performance.

Longtube equal length headeres are more horses and more torque than shorries by far.

If you've got any sort of serioulsness to this, get long tubes

(sorry for the lspeleling eerrrors, i'm drunk)

I am going to get mine from MAC but u could also check out BBK or some other brands but I would stick to those if I were you.The MAC long tube headers run about$270.00 plus shipping. But look around if you find ones for cheaper andlet me know.

What performance difference is there between the short and long headers? 270 a pair or piece?

remember you need to build low end on the 6 ..long tubes are not the answer...pulling the spare tire and other junk will make it faster than the long tubes and that's free
