Default door windows

Has anyone ever changed the door windows themself?....I was looking in my manual and it looks not that hard at all and was just wondering if anyone has gone through the procedure and how hard it was......Also same question about the windshield, manual says get a pro cuz of the adhesive but I would like to save hella $$$ by not having someone install it for 300 or more......

Well I've never done it, but be sure to get your wiring installed straight, because if you don't you will have some serious window problems.

Yea I know, but if he has to undo any switches or wiring, he could be in for a long ride.

Window glass is easy to do. Windshield is another matter. DON'T try it unless there is someone with you that has experience. You can mess up REALLY well VERY easily!

Well I guess whoever had it first, or maybe the dealer, had tried to scratch the stock tint off to make it clear? I dont know it looks weird its all scratched up like a razor blade was used....but if I figured how to do it,I was going to take the drivers door window out too and just tint them while they are both off cuz it would make it so much easier.....I figured that the windshield would be pretty hard....

And does anyone know the legal tint percent on the windshield? I think its like what 15% on the side windows and other than that u can put w/e....thanks

Edit... Sorry I meant to put in Texas..thought I did......

Tint depends on state to state specs on what they say is legal.
