Default auto tranny question

hey guys, what do they call the auto tranny in a 99-04 v6? for example, on the 99-04GT it's a 4r70w.

oh, cool, you guys have the same POS I have. do you know if everything is the same on them? like if I went to a junkyard, a tranny off of a v6 or GT would fit either one?

96-04 V6s and V8s, minus the Cobras, share the same autos and manual trannys.

Yes it is, but the parts can be expensive and the labor will be outlandish, but it can be done.

no they don't

96+v8's have T-45's along with the cobra while the V6 has a T-5

94-95 V6's have "C" case AOD's which have the weakest internals. 5.0's of the same year have the "B" case and the strongets is the "A" case of the supercoupe
