HI, I have a 2002 3.8L Mustang and I am looking at a Mac exhaust system. The system I'm looking at bolts on to the stock Y and runs to a dual. Does anyone know how good it sounds? I am a loud and deep kinda person. It supposedly gives a 9.4 horsepower gain![sm=groupwave.gif] If anyone has any recomendations or can answer my question please do...Thanks a lot =)

Don't go with mac, I was told they will rust. Also cat back systems for any six sound ricey, go with GT cut offs and add on whatever mufflers you want.

My advice...dump the Y-Pipe, and get true duals. A GT take-off will give you nice sound. BUT I went with a custom setup with Flowmasters and a custom X-Pipe.

You say you like loud, so I'd get rid of the cats (if you can get away with it where you live). And I suggest flowmaster super 40's or any other "knock offs" such as pypes pro-v.
