Default headlight/taillight tint?

I searched on ebay for some headlight/taillight covers in the blackout or smoke tint and didnt really find any good,safe,deals...sketchy products like not even showing a mustang with them on and just having random vehicles with their covers on.....but as to what the subject is meant for:I saw some 'tint film kits' to use for the taillights and was wondering how those would look and if just buying tint in town and just putting it on urself would still look ok? I know it couldnt be too dark but wouldnt look good if it was very weak film....I found one where it was a 20% kit....has anyone ever tinted their lights before and how did it go/look?
It kinda seemed dumb at first but I dont know,it might work.....help?

Edit..

Personally I hate the blacked out tailight thing, but if that's what you like then go for it, PM autobadges, he may be able to help you out better on this one.

94-98 CANNOT have tint on them w/o having some light bleed through. See the lens' are curved at the edges and a piece of vinyl CANNOT curve in that design w/o wrinkling. Any images you see on ebay STAY AWAY FROM!!!!! Believe me they are cheap quality products...and thus you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! They are cut by hand, sloppy and the tint is WINDOW TINT held on back static! HORRIBLE! If we don't sell it....it's not good enough!!
