allright so my dad recently bought a v6 mustang and wants to know if he can buy an old 3.8l supercharger off a cougar or thunderbird and put it on his mustang.... if he cant how much stuff will he need to make it work??? thanx

 

you might as well just buy a kit made for your car. i think autobadges knew someone that did that and the guy ended up spending almost as much money on that as it'd cost for a kit made for the car. not to mention how much time it took.

 

ya i thought it was too good to be true.... i mean you can get them off ebay for like 250 bucks ... oh well .... is there alot of stuff to make it work does anyone know???

 

if you want cheap power, i say just get a nitrous kit. you'll get just as much power, if not more at a fraction of the cost.

i was going to buy an NX kit with the works and have it installed, but the day i was going to schedule the install, i found a vortech kit for a killer deal. couldn't pass it up.

sorry about that came back to the computer and must have pushed back on accident and reposted.... nos does sound like a good idea... BUT hes allready got like 90,000 miles on it so i dont know how long that would last lol

 

nitrous isnt that cheap.....from what I hear you have to replace the tanks way to often.....
