Default need some interior help

I finally got my e brake handle and boot for christmas and i am at a loss on how to get the e brake handle off and how to get the boot on. Someone told me once a while ago but i forgot. Thanks for your help! Its an 03 by the way.

The ebrake is supposed to just screw on there, or that's what my manual says, now as far as the boot goes I can't help you there as I have an auto, but I'm thinking that the plastic cover that goes over the boot just snaps on so you'll just have to sit down and figure out how it comes off, but I don't think you need to unistall the intire console because I've seen pictures of just the boot and plastic cover or panel removed.

That handle won't move at all no matter what i do. I guess i just need to get really angry and rip it off.

the shifter bezel pops off......the shift **** unscrews...and then the boot comes off with the bezel. Start there

Yeah i got all that. I know how everything comes off. I think it was you who helped me out with this, and i took your advice on the wet hot cloth, and i tried pulling it off and it didn't budge. I just need to keep trying, thanks for your help.
